Equipment and Payment
Most farmers markets who are authorized to accept SNAP benefits use a centralized point-of-sale (POS) device, which is often located at a market manager's booth or a market information stand.
These markets most often also use some form of market currency, also known as "scrip", to facilitate SNAP transactions.
